We now have satellite Wi-Fi here at Fields End Water, you can get an excellent reception from the comfort of your own caravan/motorhome/tent, and there is no restriction on usage. We will give you details of how to purchase the Wi-Fi on arrival.

On-site Shop (open between April - October)

We have an excellent on-site shop that stocks most everyday conveniences such as: milk, bread, bacon, free range eggs, butter, ice creams, newspapers, home made jams and chutneys, gas, caravan supplies and plenty of fishing bait and tackle including maggots. Or you could have a tea/coffee, if you wish. The reception/shop is open, for a couple of hours a day in the winter months, but stock levels are lower and we don't stock perishables such as milk & bread or newspapers in these months either.

Dog Friendly

We are an extremely dog friendly park, with on-site walks around the fishing lakes and the 5 acre wood, a fenced dog off the lead area. We also have miles of public footpaths leading from the park to exlore the wild wilderness of The Fens, - See reception for a colour coded map of the walks. We also have six dog-poo bins on site and a water bowl at our reception. However, as we are a very quiet and peaceful site, if you are unable to control your dog from continuously barking, then Fields End Water, probably isn't the site for you.

Fishing Lakes

Fields End Water has two highly rated fishing lakes on-site. Known as "The Pit" and "The Pool" and stocked with Carp, Tench, Roach, Perch, Barbell, Chubb and Orf they make an excellent venue for a fishing holiday. Site residents get a concession on ticket prices. Click on the "Fishing" tab in the menu bar to find out more about fishing "The Pit" and "The Pool" .

Public Transport

A bus is available from the site that goes to Doddington, March and Wisbech. You can change buses at March or Doddington to get to Chatteris, Ely, Wisbech and Cambridge.
Please ask at reception for bus times.

Doddington Village & Where to Eat

Is the quaint local village, 1.5 miles away from the park, can be accessed by public footpath (40 minute walk) or by the road (30 minute walk), it boasts 2 pubs that serves good pub food, of which one is dog friendly, a fish & chip shop, and three convenience shops, hair dressers & Post Office. We also have a mobile catering cafe on site, serves excellent breakfasts, sandwiches, tea & coffee, and the all important cake!!

Activities on site and further a-field

If you need a break from the fishing then you could just relax and catch up on some reading why not make use of the book exchange library?
And don’t forget your walking boots. Other than our tiered pitches a mole hill may be the only mound you’ll find in the Fens! So the once inhospitable marshland of many years ago is now ideal for hiking and exploring and you’ll be able to make the most of the wide, open views and glorious sunsets.
Stay on site and take one of our three colour-coded walks and go further a-field to historic cities, bustling market towns and pretty villages. We will be happy to tell you all about the best places to visit in the area or visit our "Things to do" page to reaserch the many things you can do during your stay.

Our site policies and rules:

Sorry, we are an adult only site. We're afraid we don't allow anyone under the age of 16.

Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times while on site. We ask that you clean up immediately after your dog so we can maintain the high standard of cleanliness of our site grounds. Maximum of 4 dogs per unit. Good off site dog walks available.

Hard Standings

We have 26 Hard Standing pitch on the Main Park which are all fully serviced, we do request that Motorhomes use hard standings between the months of October and April. We only use the hard standings pitches for any units between November to March Inclusive, October is weather dependant.

Fully Serviced Pitches

All our hard standing pitches are fully serviced and all grass pitches on the Main Park are too. If you wish to hook up to the services, you may need between 6 & 14 meters of hose and waste pipe, depending which way around your van is parked and which side your services exit your van. We do sell waste pipe (£2.50/m) and water hose pipe (£1.50/m) in reception, if you are a little short.

Awnings/Groundsheets/Storage Tents

Are welcome: if an awning is required with a ground sheet it MUST be a BREATHABLE type. Storage tents are only chargeable if on grass pitches, as they don’t have breathable groundsheets and they can damage the grass.

Fire & Barbeques

No fires are allowed on site. Barbeques are welcomed, no direct heat or flames to grass.

All visitors to the site must be announced, we ask for a discretional donation to charity, and the proceeds will go to Cancer Research.
